Red Guard
Red Guard are China's basic infantry unit. Trained in pairs, and armed with a simple bolt-action rifle, they are effective against other infantry, and capable of capturing neutral or enemy buildings. Groups of five or more gain a Horde Bonus, which allows them to fire much faster. In large groups this makes them deadly against all ground targets, even heavily armoured vehicles. Red Guard can also switch to bayonet with which they can stab and kill enemy infantry at close range.
Capture Building
Orders the Red Guard to capture a building, to be used for China's forces. Bolt-action Rifle ModeThe Red Guard uses his rifle to engage ground targets. Bayonet ModeThe Red Guard uses his bayonet to stab infantry. |
Tank Hunter
Tank Hunters are anti-armour infantry capable of effectively dealing with tanks, vehicles, aircraft and buildings. In groups of five or more, they gain a Horde Bonus which increases their rate of fire. Tank Hunters are also armed with TNT charges which they can place on enemy vehicles and structures. The charges cannot be removed, and detonate after ten seconds, dealing tremendous damage to nearby targets.
TNT AttackThe Tank Hunter places a TNT charge onto an enemy building or vehicle which detonates after ten seconds. |
Siege Soldier
Siege Soldiers are infantry armed with mortars, which allow them to engage enemy base defences without fear of retaliation. While effective against all ground units and structures, they often end up missing moving targets, and are very weak in direct confrontations with enemy forces. They can also fire flares into the air, which temporarily draw enemy missile fire.
Ground AttackThe unit fires its mortar at a specific location. All artillery units in ShockWave have this ability. Fire Flare Mortar
The Siege Soldier fires a flare at a specific location. The flare will disrupt incoming enemy missiles for a while, providing some additional cover for friendly ground forces. |
Hacker
Hackers are computer experts, able to hack into various computer systems and networks and either disable them, or siphon off funds for use by Chinese forces. While invaluable in extended combat with enemy forces, they are completely defenceless. Hackers can enter Internet Centers and Hack Vans, which offer protection as well as increase efficiency at obtaining resources.
Disable BuildingThe Hacker uses a strong computer virus to disable enemy buildings. Hack InternetThe Hacker sits down and deploys his laptop in order to hack money from the internet. Generates a constant stream of money and experience for the Hacker, but the Hacker is undefended. |
Black Lotus
Black Lotus is the codename of a highly capable and experienced female computer hacker. While unarmed, she is generally undetectable by enemy forces, and capable of disabling enemy vehicles and buildings within seconds. She can also steal resources from enemy supply centres, but is most feared for her ability to remotely gain control of enemy buildings. Left unattended, Black Lotus can effectively take an entire base on her own. She can also hack into enemy or friendly communications and direct air strikes towards a designated target, with differing results.
Capture BuildingBlack Lotus hacks into an enemy building and assumes control of it. Disable VehicleBlack Lotus uses a computer virus to disable a vehicle's electronics. Cash HackBlack Lotus hacks into an enemy Supply Center and steals up to $1000 from the enemy. Disable BuildingBlack Lotus disables a building using a strong computer virus. System Hack
Targets a nearby area and calls in a random air strike: either 2 Iron Dragons, a level 2 Demo Trap Carpet Bombing or an A-10. Lotus remains stealthed while using this ability. |
