Scorpion
An old tank the GLA managed to get hold of in great numbers. Though weak by nature, it is very cheap and can be upgraded with a powerful Scorpion Rocket which is effective against all ground targets and gives it a good boost to firepower. Additionally, salvaged parts from enemy vehicles can be attached to give the Scorpion better weapons. In addition, the Toxin Shells upgrade makes its shells spread a bit of anthrax, making it more powerful against infantry, the Junk Repair upgrade automatically heals this vehicle over time and the Extra Salvage upgrade fits all Scorpions with salvaged equipment. The AP Rockets upgrade increases the power of the Scorpion Rocket. To make the vehicle more speedy, its treads can be replaced with wheels which make the Scorpion substantially faster but make it slightly more vulnerable to attack.
Salvage Upgrades
Fire Scorpion Rockets
The Scorpion fires its rocket at a target location. Scorpion WheelsNOTE: Will be removed in version 0.952.
The Scorpion permanently trades its treads for wheels, increasing speed but decreasing armor. |
Technical
The Technical is simply a pickup truck mounted with a machine gun, designed to transport infantry over long distances and engage enemy light infantry. Though very vulnerable, it is one of the fastest units in the game and is quite cheap. When fitted with salvaged equipment, its standard (weak) machine gun is replaced with substantially more powerful weapons.

Quad Cannon
The Quad Cannon consists of a truck with a WWII flakvierling mounted on it. Efficient at killing infantry as well as air units, the Quad Cannon is a staple unit for the GLA.

Toxin Tractor
An irrigation vehicle fitted with barrels of deadly toxins and a sprayer to dish them out to enemy troops, the Toxin Tractor is an example of GLA no-holds-barred warfare. The toxins from this vehicle kill infantry almost instantly (even when they are hiding in buildings) and can deal good damage to vehicles over time, as well. Though cheap, it is rather slow and not particularly well armored. It can use its irrigation hoses to contaminate the area around it, making the ground unsafe to move over (the tractor itself isn't affected). Its damage can be increased with Anthrax Beta, it will repair itself automatically with Junk Repair and gains a sprayer with increased range with the Extra Salvage upgrade.
Salvage Upgrades
ContaminateOrders the Toxin Tractor to contaminate the area by spraying toxins all around itself. |
Marauder Tank
The Marauder tank is much heavier than the Scorpion, but its turret is in a fixed position, so the whole vehicle must turn in order to engage a target. Though not especially powerful by default, it can mount parts salvaged from destroyed enemy vehicles increasing its armor and/or firepower in the process. The Toxin Shells upgrade makes its shells spread a bit of anthrax, making it more powerful against infantry, the Junk Repair upgrade automatically heals this vehicle over time and the Extra Salvage upgrade fits all Marauders with salvaged equipment. When multiple enemy vehicles have been salvaged, the power of the Marauder is increased dramatically, making it able to engage all but the most powerful units.

Chameleon
A WWII vehicle built specifically to deal with enemy vehicles. It sports a powerful cannon that has good range and can deal substantial damage to enemy vehicles, but is weak against everything else. Its cannon takes some time to reload, so it is fitted with a small machine gun to be able to defend itself against infantry without firing the cannon. Though quite fast, it doesn't turn very quickly and is fitted with rather thin armor. When not moving, it can camouflage itself to remain hidden; ideal for creating a tank ambush. The vehicle is only revealed if it moves or fires.
Salvage Upgrades
CamouflageThe Chameleon equips its camouflage netting to make it invisible to enemy troops. This ability can only be used when the Chameleon is not moving or attacking. |
Combat Cycle
The Combat Cycle provides GLA infantry a quick way of getting around the battlefield. Depending on the unit mounting it, the combat cycle receives different kinds of weapons:
The GLA receive Combat Cycles with a Rebel by default. If the driver gets off the Combat Cycle, it will remain empty until destroyed or manned again by GLA infantry.

Mobile Demo Trap
A Demo Trap strapped to a toy RC car. It's inconspicuous enough not to be noticed yet provides the characteristic big boom of a Demo Trap when it goes off. Basically it allows the general to create a minefield made up of moving mines; it is the perfect ambush unit. In addition, balloons can be fitted to it to turn it into an aerial mine, capable of blowing enemy aircraft to pieces.
Detonate! The Demo Trap detonates immediately. Become Air DemotrapThe Demo Trap sacrifices its wheels to transform itself into an Air Demotrap by inflating several baloons. The Air Demotrap will detonate by remote or when an enemy airborne unit comes near it. |
Radar Van
The Radar Van provides radar capabilities, and can detect stealthed enemy units around itself. The Radar Scan upgrade allows each Radar Van to periodically reveal a small area anywhere on the map for a short while.
Radar Scan
Orders the Radar Van to use its scanning ability to reveal a target area (also revealing hidden enemies). |
Bomb Truck
Filled with TNT and other explosives, the Bomb Truck's purpose is to drive into an enemy structure or group of units and detonate itself, taking enemies along with it. Though able to deal substantial amounts of damage, it is still a vulnerable unit because it isn't particularly well armored. It is able to disguise itself however, posing as an enemy vehicle so it can get closer to its enemy before being detected. More goodies can be added to the vehicle: a biobomb that leaves a good amount of anthrax when the vehicle detonates, a high explosive bomb which further increases the power of the vehicle, or both.
Biobombs
Upgrades the truck with an anthrax payload. High-Explosive Bomb
Upgrades the truck with more explosives. DetonateImmediately detonates the Bomb Truck. DisguiseMakes the Bomb Truck look like the targeted vehicle. This includes faction color. |
Battle Bus
A big tour bus fitted with extra armor plating and a nasty-looking bumper. The Battle Bus can transport up to eight infantry at once, who can fire out of the vehicle's windows. When destroyed, the bus simply loses its wheels and acts like a stationary bunker for the infantry, providing a second opportunity for even more damage. It can be fitted with extra armor plating salvaged from destroyed enemy vehicles.

Rocket Buggy
One of the most iconic vehicles the GLA posesses, the Rocket Buggy is the ideal vehicle for hit-and-run attacks. It outranges defenses and though extremely fragile it is equally fast and can easily flee if enemy forces are approaching. Rocket Buggies come with three small rocket batteries which fire a barrage of six homing rockets, but can be upgraded with newer batteries that can fire up to eight rockets (with the Buggy Ammo upgrade). The AP Rockets upgrade increases its damage and the Junk Repair upgrade gives the vehicle auto-healing. It can salvage even more rocket batteries from enemy vehicle wrecks and the Extra Salvage upgrade grants it more rocket batteries by default.
Salvage Upgrades
TauntThe Rocket Buggy uses its horn to taunt the enemy. This has no in-game effect and is for humorous purposes only. Ground AttackOrders the unit to fire its payload on the targeted area. Every artillery piece in ShockWave has this ability. |
Scud Launcher
The Scud missiles the GLA obtained can be accurately fired over shorter distances with this truck. The Scud missile can be equipped with a high-explosive warhead which blasts everything to smithereens or an anthrax warhead which poisons masses of infantry and makes the ground itself deadly to walk on.
Salvage Upgrades
High Explosive WarheadsSwitches to high-explosive missiles, which do lots of damage and create a big explosion. Anthrax WarheadsSwitches to anthrax-tipped missiles, which do less damage than HE missiles but leave anthrax fields. Ground AttackOrders the unit to fire its payload on the targeted area. Every artillery piece in ShockWave has this ability. |
Quad Bike
Brought in by helicopter from the Airpad, this is a nifty tool for your workers. It allows your Workers to move and gather supplies much faster. It comes with a Worker already driving it, but he can abandon this tool if needed. The bike will be set to self-destruct when abandoned.
|
Dozer
Brought in by helicopter from the Airpad, this allows the player to build structures and repair structures faster. It comes with a Worker occupying it by default. The Worker can abandon the vehicle, at which point the Dozer self destructs.
