AircraftShockWave/Factions/General Ironside - Upgrades

Contents

Command Center

  • Cost: 2000
  • Requires: -

The Command Center is the central hub for all of Ironside's activities. However Ironside has opted not to include radar and surveillance capabilities on his Command Centers, to ensure that intelligence is at its maximum even if command were to be compromised. Various generals abilities are also coordinated from this structure (see Generals abilities for more information).

Cold Fusion Reactor

  • Cost: 800
  • Requires: -
  • Power output: 5 (10 when upgraded)

Cold Fusion Reactors provide power for other base buildings to run on. Although their power output is not high initially, they can be upgraded to provide additional power when the need arises.

Control Rods

  • Cost: 300

Control Rods help increase the efficiency of the power plant, adding another 5 points to its total power output.

Radar Dome

  • Cost: 750
  • Requires: -
  • Power consumption: 0

The Radar Dome houses Ironside's satellite uplink. It activates the minimap and grants access to a network of spy satellites. In addition, it can detect stealthed units around itself.

Spy Satellite

  • Recharge time: 1:00

By using a network of spy satellites one can uncover a portion of the battlefield and reveal all enemy units and structures there, including those that are stealthed.

Barracks

  • Cost: 600
  • Requires: -
  • Power consumption: 0

The Barracks is where Ironside's infantry are trained in battle. Wounded soldiers can return to the Barracks to get medical treatments.

Supply Center

Ironside's Supply Center has been modified for his Supply Trucks. The helipad was replaced by a factory responsible for building the trucks and a drive-through was added to unload the supplies. It comes with a free Supply Truck, and more Supply Trucks can also be produced from here.

War Factory

Ironside's War Factory is responsible for producing his advanced armoured vehicles. An included repair station provides maintenance for damaged vehicles.

Airfield

Although not as advanced nor as versatile as those used by other USA factions, Ironside's aircraft still have a place in his army. This is where they are built, reloaded and repaired.

Strategy Center

The Strategy Center provides access to high-technology upgrades, as well as making more advanced weaponry available. It is the center of strategic operations, where global battleplans can be announced for all units to follow.

Bombardment Battle Plan

The Bombardment Battle Plan will give all ground units a 20% bonus to damage. In addition, the Strategy Center will deploy a heavy cannon to help defend its position against attack.

Hold The Line Battle Plan

The Hold The Line Battle Plan will reduce all damage done to ground units by 15%. In addition, the Strategy Center will fortify itself with additional walls, effectively doubling its resilience against attack.

Search And Destroy Battle Plan

The Search And Destroy Battle Plan will increase both the sight range and weapon range of all ground units by 20%. In addition, the Strategy Center will deploy sensors that not only double its sight range, but also help detect nearby stealthed units.

Intelligence

  • Recharge time: 5:00

The Intelligence ability allows a commander to temporarily reveal the locations of all enemy units on the battlefield.

Supply Drop Zone

When built, the Supply Drop Zone will call in a plane full of supplies every two minutes. A complete load of supplies is worth $1500 once dropped.

Missile Silo

The Missile Silo houses Ironside's personal superweapon, the Cluster Missile.

Cluster Missile

  • Recharge time: 5:00

When launched, the primary warhead of this missile delivers a payload equal to the MOAB. Attached around the primary missile are four additional warheads which disconnect themselves shortly before impact and deliver their payload moments after the main explosion.

Concrete Slab

The Concrete Slab is a base foundation on which several different defence structures can be built.

Upgrade to Vaporiser Vulcan Turret

Upgrades the Concrete Slab into a Vaporiser Vulcan Turret for anti-infantry defence.

Upgrade to Guardian Defence Turret

Upgrades the Concrete Slab into a Guardian Defence Turret for anti-vehicle defence.

Upgrade to Gazer Aircraft Detection Turret

Upgrades the Concrete Slab into a Gazer Aircraft Detection Turret for a bunker and anti-aircraft support.

Vaporiser Vulcan Turret

The Vaporiser is Ironside's primary anti-infantry defense system. Its twin Vulcan cannons make short work of enemy infantry, but are less effective against heavily armoured vehicles. Like the single cannon mounted on the Vulcan Tank, both Vulcan cannons require a cooldown period between bursts.

Guardian Defence Turret

The Guardian is a powerful anti-tank base defense structure, sporting twin cannons that can easily take on any vehicle. The cannons are extremely ineffective against infantry though, and even a small group of enemy infantry can take down an entire line of Guardians if they're not supported properly.

Gazer Aircraft Detection Turret

The Gazer is a valuable asset in assisting other defenders nearby. Its purpose is threefold: It comes equipped with an early warning siren that will alert a commander whenever enemy aircraft are nearby. Secondly, once enemy aircraft come close, it will target the aircraft with its powerful spotlight, making the target easier to see and increasing the rate of fire of weapons firing on it. And finally, the Gazer also has a bunker with room for two infantry units, which can fire out to help protect the structure.

Phalanx

The Phalanx is one of the most powerful anti-aircraft defense structures, and probably one of the most frightening. It is armed with a very powerful but slightly inaccurate vulcan cannon that will tear any incoming aircraft to shreds in mere seconds.
