All structures
These upgrades are available to every Chinese structure.
Mines
Surrounds the building with anti-personnel mines. These kill infantry very quickly and rapidly destroy tanks moving through a field of them. While the mines can be destroyed by firing at them, any destroyed mines will simply respawn after a while as long as the parent building is still standing. If the parent building is destroyed, the mines disappear after some time. |
Neutron Mines
Substitutes the anti-personnel mines around a building for neutron mines. These instantly kill infantry and vehicle drivers. |
Command Center
The Command Center is the hub of Chinese command and intelligence, and is the foundation of any forward base. It builds Dozers and can be upgraded with radar. Generals abilities are also activated from here (see Generals abilities for more information). Radar
Upgrades the Command Center with radar capability. |
Advanced Nuclear Reactor
Barracks
The Barracks is where infantry can be trained and infantry-related upgrades are found. Injured infantry can enter it to be healed. |
Supply Center
The Supply Center is the building where Supply Trucks are built and drop off their supply crates to provide money for China. It comes with one free Supply Truck, and can also construct more if needed. |
War Factory
The War Factory is responsible for building China's vehicles, as well as repairing any damaged vehicles if necessary. |
Airfield
The Airfield can produce and hold up to four aircraft and can also produce China's helicopters. After returning from an attack run, damaged aircraft are automatically repaired, and helicopters can also be sent to land here to be repaired. |
Nuclear Research Plant
The Nuclear Research Plant is where Tao's advanced research in nuclear energy takes place. It provides many important upgrades to Tao's nuclear technology, and also allows the production of some advanced units and structures. In addition, it is equipped with its own nuclear reactor to power the building, making its net power requirement zero. But like any Chinese nuclear reactor, this reactor can also be set to overcharge in times of need, turning the building into a power production facility temporarily. OverchargeThis switch allows the nuclear reactor within the Nuclear Research Plant to be overcharged, causing it to produce a surplus 20 power units for other structures to use. Like with the basic Nuclear Reactor, overcharging damages the structure over time. But instead of eventually destroying the structure, Overcharge will automatically be switched off when the structure is below 33% health. |
Propaganda Center
The Propaganda center is the central hub for all Chinese propaganda and research efforts. It allows advanced units and structures to be built and additional upgrades to be bought. Additionally, it is fitted with a speaker tower, healing any friendly units in range and increasing their rate of fire. |
Internet Center
China, noticing the need for a secured environment for their Hackers to bring in money, recently introduced this special structure. Using a high-speed internet connection, up to eight Hackers can hack money with a slightly increased hacking rate while inside. Additionally, Hackers inside the building are able to use enemy spy satellites for the Chinese army after the Satellite Hack upgrade has been bought. Hackers inside this structure cannot be killed by conventional means and the Internet Center is immune to capturing as well. Spy Satellite
Reveals the targeted area, including any stealthed units. |
Speaker Tower
China's morale will be boosted by a large margin when this seemingly simple structure broadcasts uplifting messages about the strength of the motherland to all that are so fortunate to share in its greatness. It will increase the combat effectiveness of any units nearby by increasing their rate of fire and providing healing or repairs. This effect can be increased with the Subliminal Messaging upgrade. |
Nuclear Missile
When all other methods of defeating the enemy have failed, this building will deliver the final blow. This silo contains a nuclear missile, a feared weapon all over the world. Once the countdown is complete, it will be moved into launch position, ready to be launched at China's enemies. Nuclear-related upgrades can also be purchased from this building. While Tao's Nuclear Missile launch facility is slightly cheaper than the standard version, it is otherwise identical. Nuclear Missile
When launched, the nuclear missile will fly to its destination and detonate in a horribly powerful fireball, incinerating anything nearby and sending shockwaves with winds of several hundreds of kilometres per hour in all directions. Nothing but the strongest buildings can survive this kind of power, and even in its wake it leaves radiation which is deadly to infantry and also damages military hardware. |
Bunker
The Bunker provides protection for up to five infantry. It has fireports which allow the infantry inside to fire out, and because of its special protection prevents the building from being cleared by conventional means. |
Gattling Cannon
Tao's Gattling Cannon uses the same basic design as the standard issue Gattling, and like its counterpart is effective only against lightly-armoured threats on both ground and air. But because of Tao's high energy production, the barrels and firing mechanism receive a boost in power input, resulting in a much higher rate of fire. This gattling also has no spinup delay and can fire at full speed right away. |
